SUPPORT US

We connect scholars to the right universities, unlock funding, and provide guided support to help them graduate with little to no debt — and we cannot do any of it without you.

This is Allyson.
She is a DC CAP Scholar.

“Flying has given me a new sense of freedom, a feeling of belonging, and a window to the world from above. Holding the yoke of an aircraft confirmed it: this is the career I want. Someday, I hope to welcome you aboard with the words, ‘This is your Captain speaking.’”
- Allyson Bautista
Allyson Bautista first became interested in aviation after being invited into the cockpit of a Boeing 777 on a trip in 2023. That moment pushed her to pursue flight training while earning her Public Relations degree and Aviation minor at George Mason University.

Flight training is costly, and balancing those expenses with college isn’t realistic for most students. Support from the GMU Foundation Scholarship and DC CAP’s University Partnerships program gave Allyson the stability to stay enrolled, progress in her training, and reach a milestone she once saw as far off: her first solo flight.

Allyson’s journey shows how your support opens doors students never imagined for themselves. Your support removes barriers and empowers scholars to pursue their dreams.
