DC-CAP Pre-College Program
The DC-CAP Pre-College Program provides college freshmen and their parents a preview of college life and helps them with the critical skills needed to overcome and survive the common challenges of the college environment. The program offers various workshops, presentations and activities conducted by educators, college administrators, current college students and others. Topics include:

- New Student Orientation
- Residence Life
- Crisis Management
- Financial Aid
- Study Skills and Time Management
- Two-Year vs. Four-Year Colleges
- Historically Black Colleges and Universities vs. Predominantly
White Colleges and Universities

DC-CAP Pre-College Program sessions are offered in two separate
August sessions. DC public high school graduates and their parents
are strongly encouraged to participate before the beginning of the
student's freshmen year. To register for the Program, please contact
the DC-CAP main office.
