Parents of Special Education Students
DC-CAP is committed to assisting all DC public high school students and graduates. Special Education students obtaining a high school diploma and interested in a post-secondary education are eligible for DC-CAP services. DC-CAP advisors will assist your special needs student select the college that is best suited for him or her. DC-CAP works closely with colleges and universities around the country that offer services and financial aid to students with special needs.

These agencies will help determine if your child suffers from a physical, emotional or learning disability. With the proper diagnosis and Individual Education Plan (IEP), your child may be eligible for numerous services, benefits and financial aid. Common disabilities include:
