ABOUT THE EVENT

The 12th Annual Michael Wilbon and James Brown Celebrity Roast & Golf Classic benefitting DC College Access Program will be held September 29-30, 2014.

On Monday, the evening of September 29, we will be "roasting" Wes Unseld, Washington Bullets legend, and NBA Hall of Famer at the Mayflower Hotel. The celebrity roasters will share their experiences and humorous stories of the honoree. The roast will also feature a silent auction where guests will have the opportunity to bid on sports memorabilia, travel opportunities, fine dining vouchers, spa retreats and dozens of other amazing auction items.

On Tuesday, September 30, participants will have the chance to compete for fabulous prizes, mingle with our celebrity guests and have fun playing on the world-renowned Greg Norman golf course.  Golfers will have the opportunity to play with celebrities like Clark Kellog, Kellen Winslow, Alonzo Mourning, Brian Mitchell, Stuart Scott, Bob Woodward, Rick "Doc" Walker, Penny Hardaway, Ken Harvey, Sterling Sharpe, and Magic Johnson, who have all been past participants.

The Golf Club at Lansdowne boasts the most complete golf facilities anywhere in the Mid-Atlantic region. Join us on The Greg Norman champion course. Please click here to purchase tickets to the Celebrity Roast and or Golf Tournament.

Today, DC-CAP is working with 18,000 DC public and public charter high school students and approximately 6,800 college students helping them to realize their college and life goals. Your participation at this tournament is important and contributes to making college more accessible to DC public and public charter school students.
