DC College Access Program 11th Annual Michael Wilbon and James Brown Celebrity Roast & Golf ClassicThe 11th Annual Michael Wilbon and James Brown Celebrity Roast & Golf Classic benefitting DC College Access Program will be held September 19-20, 2013 at Lansdowne Resort in Lansdowne, VA.

On Thursday, the evening of September 19, we will be "roasting" NFL coaching legend and winning NASCAR owner, Joe Gibbs. The celebrity roasters will share their experiences and humorous stories of Coach Gibbs' long and illustrious career. The roast will also feature a silent auction where guests will have the opportunity to bid on sports memorabilia, travel opportunities, fine dining vouchers, spa retreats and dozens of other amazing auction items.

On Friday, September 20th, participants will have the chance to compete for fabulous prizes, mingle with our celebrity guests and have fun playing on the world-renowned Greg Norman golf course.  Golfers will have the opportunity to play with celebrities like Kellen Winslow, Alonzo Mourning, Stuart Scott, Bob Woodward, Rick "Doc" Walker, Penny Hardaway, Ken Harvey, Sterling Sharpe, and Magic Johnson, who have all been past participants.

The golf tournament will raise funds for the DC College Access Program (DC-CAP), a privately funded non-profit that supports DC public and public charter high school students and college students who might otherwise not have the opportunity to receive a college education. DC-CAP provides mentoring, counseling, academic advising, and financial assistance to these deserving students.

Today, DC-CAP is working with 17,000 DC public and public charter high school students and approximately 6,800 college students helping them to realize their college and life goals. Your participation at this tournament is important and contributes to making college more accessible to DC public and public charter school students.
